Console into a switch
The prompt below behaves the way a managed switch behaves. There are modes you have to get into before anything will work, commands you can abbreviate, ? at any point, and a configuration you will lose if you do not save it. Type enable to start.
This is a practice simulator, not a real switch. Every other sandbox on Hone is
checked against the real tool: the terminal against real bash, the repository against
real git. That is not possible here, so nothing below is diffed against vendor firmware
and the command set is a teaching subset. Where it matters most it does not guess:
the first word you type is resolved against the real IOS command set, so an abbreviation
that would be ambiguous on hardware is ambiguous here too, and a real command this
device does not implement says exactly that rather than pretending to be a typo.
